Levi, Hananiah
Hananiah, son of Necha and Israel z “l, was born on October 6, 1945 in Brussels, Belgium, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1953. Hanania spent the first two years of his studies in Belgium, and later studied in Israel. He completed his studies until the fifth grade at Ramat Gan Elementary School and completed his elementary studies at the Shilo School in Ramat Gan; Afterward, he began high school in the “Ohel Shem” high school and continued at Hadasim School, where he graduated in the biological track. During the course of his studies, Hananiah worked in sports, and devoted most of his leisure time and much of his energies. He was a member of “Hapoel” Hadasim, and his two other hobbies were chess and air defense, where he completed a number of courses and advanced studies, and he loved the country very much. After basic training, he took a course in military police and achieved excellent achievements. His commanders greatly admired him and sent him to a criminal investigators course. In this course Hanania was awarded high grades in all subjects. After completing his regular service, Hanania was assigned to a reserve unit, and from time to time he was called for periods of military service in reserve duty. He returned to civilian life and continued his studies at the university. On December 20, 1973, Hananiah was injured in a fatal road accident in the Jabel Livni area and fell in the line of duty. Shaul left behind a wife – Ayala, a mother, two brothers and a sister.
