Son of Jacob and Gila. Born in Istanbul, Iraq on May 5, 1949, he immigrated to Israel with his family in 1951. He studied at the Bar-Ilan elementary school and was a member of the Bnei Akiva movement, He took part in all his activities, was disciplined and fulfilled all the instructions of the guides, he liked to travel and go on trips, he also loved soccer and basketball, and he took advantage of his leisure time to play sports, and after graduating he attended the Rav Maimon High School in Herzliya. He was a loyal son, devoted to his parents and his family, and a good friend to his friends, and he loved his high school so much that he He continued to study there even after the parents moved to Haifa in the middle of the school year, and he was quiet and modest, humble, diligent and absolutely responsible. Although he was smiling and cheerful, he sometimes made the impression of being a self-contained person, but those who knew him closely knew that this seclusion only applied to his personal interests. As an outstanding student, he began studying at the Hebrew University of Haifa at the age of 17 and studied there for the first year. But when he reached the age of 18 he decided to enlist in the IDF and did not want to continue his studies, despite the parents’ pleas. He had risen to the rank of lieutenant-colonel. On the 6th of Tammuz 5729 (6.7.1969), he fell in battle in the region of Kantara. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. He gained the admiration of his commanders and after his fall was promoted to lieutenant
