Levi, Guy


Ben Mira and Aryeh. Was born on the 19th of Cheshvan 5737 (19.11.1973) in Eilat, as a birthday present to his sister Tali, who was born exactly four years before him. In 1979 the family moved to Kiryat Bialik. Guy moved most of the curriculum in Kiryat Bialik, he began at the “Kadima” elementary school and continued in the ORT junior high school. His hobbies were varied – cycling, chess, windsurfing, computer games and, most importantly, photography. With a simple camera and an improvised domestic laboratory, he began to commemorate, in his special way, everything he loved. In 1989, the family moved to Atlit, where he expanded his circle of hobbies, in addition to the many hours spent in the lab In January 1992, Guy enlisted in the IDF, completed a photography course in Modi’in, completed his studies as an outstanding trainee, and was appointed as a photographer in the Intelligence Corps. Later, he moved to serve in the Air Force Technical School. On December 10, 1993, Guy was killed in a car accident on his way home from the base. He was twenty years old when he fell. Guy was laid to rest in the military section of the Atlit cemetery. Survived by his parents, and his sister Tali. A solo exhibition of his photographs was exhibited at the Air Force Technical School, on Memorial Day for IDF Fallen Soldiers and on Independence Day, 1994.
