Levi, Aziz


Aziz, son of Zilpa and Shaul, was born on March 20, 1955, in Maoz Zion. His name is named after his older brother, who died when he was young. Aziz, the youngest and most beloved of the family, grew up surrounded by warmth and love and was attached to his family with all his soul. He studied at the Ariel elementary school in Maoz Zion, and even when he was a young boy, his great organizational ability was discovered. His educator says that although he was not one of the best students in his class, he excelled at organizing class parties and social activities. He was a natural leader, the living spirit in every activity, and a beloved friend and friend of all. After graduating from elementary school, Aziz decided to work to help the family’s agriculture and ease the burden on his parents, whose health was not good. After trying several jobs, he was hired by the Isranol textile factory. His co-workers tell him that he was a cheerful guy who liked to laugh, and that he had integrated into the social activities of the factory and often participated in organizing them. At work, he was not devoted to him, with precision and seriousness. Aziz was a brother and a trusted friend. He had an unusual technical sense, and there was no problem with Aziz finding no way to fix it. As for the family, Aziz was a cohesive force, and his very presence gave them security and tranquility. He gave most of his salary to his mother and helped her with everything. His older sister had a great love and her children adored their uncle, who was spared nothing. Aziz was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early February 1973. After completing basic training, he was assigned to the Golani Brigade in Company A of the Gideon Battalion. When the Yom Kippur War broke out, Aziz was at the Hermon post on October 6, 1973. In the afternoon, the Syrians began a heavy shelling and at five o’clock in the morning, In the afternoon, when the soldiers of the outpost began to retreat, they encountered an ambush by Syrian soldiers. Aziz was hurt and killed. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery on Mount Herzl. Survived by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to corporal.
