Levi, Avraham Rudolf
The son of Milly and Joseph. He was born on July 1, 1963 in France, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1968. Avraham attended the Itamar elementary school and graduated from the Tchernichovsky High School – both in Netanya. During his studies he was a member of a youth movement and joined the “Eilam” nucleus. Avraham was drafted into the IDF at the beginning of January 1982 and as a member of the nucleus was stationed in the Nahal Brigade. On the 22nd of Elul 5742 (10.9.1982), Avraham fell while serving in the Peace for the Galilee operation and was brought to eternal rest in the Netanya military cemetery. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved parents, his commander wrote among other things: “Your son was known in the nucleus as a kind soldier who loved to help others at every opportunity and in every situation.”
