Levi, Avraham
Son of Galia and Menachem, was born on the 28th of Kislav, December 6, 1923 in the city of Daraa, Yemen. In 1942 he immigrated with his family to Eretz Israel and settled in Tel Aviv. Avraham found work, bought land, built a house for himself and his family and supported his parents. He carefully observed the commandment to honor your father and mother.
In April 1948, during the War of Independence, Avraham was drafted into the army and afterwards was part of a unit of the Carmeli Brigade. He participated in Operation “Brosh” to eliminate the Syrian bridge in the Mishmar Hayarden area. Avraham fell in battle on the fortified heights on the 9th of Tamuz 5708 (16.7.1948)and was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Rosh Pina.
