Levi, Alvin (Avraham)


Son of Mildred and Shlomo, was born on July 30, 1918, and lived in Long Beach, New York, USA. During the Second World War he served as a mechanic in the United States Air Force, at the base of England, during the Allied bombing of Germany. At the beginning of the War of Independence he left his home, his wife and daughter, and came to dedicate his knowledge and experience in the service of the air force of his people’s homeland. He fulfilled his duty of volunteering with all his skill and devotion and liked all his knowledge. He was killed on a training flight over the Sea of ​​Galilee on December 7, 1948. He was first buried in Tiberias and then transferred to the eternal military cemetery at Nachalat Yitzhak, where he was awarded the rank of lieutenant (lieutenant) .
