Lev, Arlozor (Zorek)


Arlozor (Zorik), son of Leah and Nehemiah, one of the founders of the settlement, was born on 17.9.1933 in the village of Bilu, named after Haim Arlosoroff, who was murdered that year. The “Kadesh” operation was sent by the Israel Air Force to study in France, and was one of the pilots who brought the Mysteries, the Super Misters and the first Mirages, and fought them during the Sinai Campaign and the Six-Day War . Zorek advanced quickly in the ranks and eventually commanded three squadrons. At first he commanded an “organic” squadron, which also participated in bringing them to Israel. He then commanded the “Super Mysteries” Squadron and afterwards the “Mirage” squadron. He was one of the most prominent pilots in the Air Force and his commanders, and held senior positions in Air Force headquarters.
