Leshem, Moshe


Moshe, son of Yehudit and Yonatan Leshem, was born in Jerusalem in 1962. In July 1980 he was drafted into the IDF. He was assigned to a pilot course, which he completed in the field of combat navigators. Moshe decided to continue his military career and became an Air Force intelligence officer. On May 5, 1991,
he fell while carrying out his duties. In a low flight over the Sea of ​​Galilee, the wing of the plane hit the water and the plane crashed. Moshe was absent for three long and exhausting days, at the end of which his body was found. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his wife, daughter, parents and three sisters – Michal, Yifat and Hila. A few months after the disaster, Shahaf, his second daughter, was born.
