Leibowitz, Yisrael (“Lulu”)

Yisrael, son of Aryeh-Leib and Shoshana Leibowitz, was born in Chust, Czechoslovakia in 1911 and immigrated to Israel in 1934. He was drafted into the IDF in September 1950. He was wounded while performing his duties and died of his wounds on 28 Kislev (2.12.1956). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind a wife.
