Leib, Shmuel
Son of Yitzhak and Rachel. He was born on February 2, 1935, in Haifa. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. He was a battalion commander in the Gadna. On the first day of the training period, the first nucleus of the “HaNoar HaOved” (“Netiv Sadeh”) He was a member of Kibbutz Beit-Guvrin where he worked as a tractor operator. He took part in several reprisals and even during the first march as a commander in the Nahal Brigade, and as an internal necessity, he fulfilled his duties, reaching the rank of lieutenant, and was killed in battle in Sinai on 25th March 1956. He was buried in the Military Cemetery of the Emergency Army in Shelah and on Thursday, 30 March 1957, he was transferred to the military cemetery in Haifa. After that, a commendation was signed by the Command of the Southern Command, signed by the chief of staff.
