Lavie, Yeshayahu (Ishi)

Son of Sarah and Eliahu, was born on July 13, 1952 in Tel Aviv. Yeshayahu was drafted into the IDF in mid-January 1974 and was assigned to the Artillery Corp. He fulfilled his military service with devotion. Before he left for reserve duty, he completed his doctorate in the field of particle physics, and on the 17th of Tevet 5743 (January 2, 1983), Yeshayahu fell in combat in Lebanon and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
