Lahav, Yariv


Son of Talma and Gabriel, was born on July 4, 1963 in Kibbutz Revivim. Yariv attended elementary school and the regional high school in Moshav Beer Tuvia. Prior to his induction, he taught at a field school in Achziv on behalf of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel. Yariv was drafted into the IDF in early November 1982 and volunteered for an elite unit in the infantry, and after completing basic training, he successfully completed a scout course, a course for first responders and a combat paramedics course. With his unit, Yariv immigrated to Lebanon when the war of the Galilee began, and on March 28, 1985, Sgt. Yariv fell in combat in Lebanon during the Peace for Galilee War and was brought to rest in the cemetery in Moshav Timurim where his family lives.
