The family settled in Jerusalem and attended the David Stone Elementary School, Because of his love for nature and the country, Tibi was a diligent and ambitious student, he spent many hours reading and studying, he was healthy and strong, and he was very physically fit and was a member of various sports clubs in the city and was involved in many sports activities such as swimming, karate and athletics, He was a member of the Golden Gloves boxing club in Jerusalem, where he participated in the Eger competitions He was recruited to the IDF in late October 1987. As an only child to his parents, he was able to serve in a back-yard unit, but Tibi volunteered for a combat unit . Due to his high physical fitness he aspired to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade, but was eventually assigned to the Armored Corps. Tibi loved the force and its power. Here he took a course as a fighter and at the end he acquired the artillery profession. In the Armored Corps, Tibi also stood out as a sportsman. He volunteered to represent his unit and was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the commander of the Armored Corps School for his participation and achievements in the field-field championship championship on the 17th of Adar 5749 (March 17, 1989), Tibi fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery Military presence on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Survived by his parents. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Tibi, as he was called by his friends, was a model soldier, and his service in the Armored Corps was characterized by his love for the tank and his pride in being part of the Armored Corps. State of Israel”.
