Laarian, Eli


Son of Dorit and Yaakov, was born on 28.6.1962 in Jerusalem. Eli grew up in the Talpiot neighborhood of southern Jerusalem, where he also began his studies at the Zalman Aran Elementary School. He was loved by his teachers and classmates. After completing eight years of study, Elli studied at the Kennedy High School in Electrical Engineering. However, after one school year, he left school and went to work in the profession he had acquired. At that time, his father had a Lev attack. Eli decided to devote himself to Torah studies. He joined a small yeshiva in Jerusalem, where he studied Torah only. All the while, he continued to maintain close contact with his neighborhood friends. When he left the yeshiva, he began to work for the Keren Hayesod and prepared himself for the army, where he was trained in weightlifting and ran to improve his physical fitness, Before he was eighteen years old, was drafted into the army three days before the end of basic training, on the 28th of Iyar 5740 (28.4.1980), fell to me in the course of his duties and was put to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. He left behind his parents and three sisters, and his family planted a forest in his memory in the Ramot Forest near Jerusalem.
