Kutnowski, Shlomo
Was born on July 23, 1928, in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, to a Zionist family, and was educated at the Hebrew school in the city. During the Second World War he was in the concentration camps. Immediately after his release, he resumed his activity as a representative of Betar in the DP camps in Austria and Italy, and in May 1948 he boarded the Kedma ship with the arrival of the Altalena on the shores of the country. On June 21, 1948, he was killed in an exchange of fire that developed during the unloading of the Altalena, and was brought to rest in the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
