Aryeh, son of Bracha and Baruch, was born on December 15, 1932, in Harlow, Romania, and immigrated to Israel in 1948. He studied first in elementary school and later in a vocational school in Israel. He began his studies in Romania, where he began studying, but when World War II broke out he was forced to stop his studies and went to work because his father was arrested and sent to forced labor in a German-controlled camp. And immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1948. In 1948, when he was sixteen, he began his journey to Eretz Israel as part of the Youth Aliya. He was sent by the British to Cyprus, where he spent four months, and when he arrived in Israel, he was absorbed in Kibbutz Mahanayim and worked there until he was drafted into the IDF. Aryeh was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early May 1950 and assigned to the Israel Air Force, and was sent to a training course in physical training and served as a sports instructor in the Israel Air Force. And volunteered to serve in the regular army. In 1953 he was discharged from the army and assigned to an air force reserve unit. In 1965 he was transferred to the Artillery Corps and served as an officer in the unit, where he was called for periods of reserve duty and with it fought in the battles of the War of Attrition. After being discharged, he worked as a mechanic at Ramet. He was a dedicated worker, highly respected by his superiors and admired by his co-workers, and even attained the rank of chief mechanic in the factory. In 1955 he married his girlfriend Ida and established his home in Holon. In 1958 his daughter Shmuela was born and in 1968 his son Moshe was born. Arieh was the head of a dedicated and caring family, worked tirelessly to establish the status of the family and gave her many years of happiness. He was a good-natured, friendly man, a friend and friend of truth to his friends. His parents had a devoted son, respected them very much and considered them and came to visit them often. During the Yom Kippur War, his unit participated in the battles of containment and infiltration against the Egyptians in the Sinai. In these battles, Arieh served as an ambulance driver, courageously and heroically, and rescued many wounded under heavy fire. On the 18th of Tishrei 5740 (18.10.1973) Aryeh was killed and killed by enemy shelling of our forces in the area of ​​De-Soir, west of the Suez Canal. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. Survived by his wife, daughter and son, parents and two brothers. After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the commander of the unit wrote: “Staff Sergeant Arieh Kroytoro served in our unit until he fell on the night between 18 and 19 October 1973. On this night, after crossing the Suez Canal, , Who turned out to be an excellent driver and a disciplined and devoted soldier, volunteered to be available to the unit doctor and help him at the canal crossing.
