Krotkov, Avraham


Son of Leah and Eliyahu. He was born on September 23, 1908, in the town of Tarnovka, Podolia district in Russia, to a Zionist family. In 1920, his father and brother Yitzhak immigrated to Eretz Israel, while he and the rest of his family immigrated to Israel in 1927. Avraham lived in Tel Aviv where he did odd jobs and worked in agriculture in Gan Shmuel. In addition to his work, he was an active member of the Habarut Socialist Movement and later of the “HaPoel” sports association. Later he was hired by the military industry. Among his acquaintances and colleagues he became known as a diligent and responsible man and a devoted and loyal friend. On Tu B’Shvat, 21.1.1943, on his return from work, he was killed in a car accident. He was laid to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery near Tel Aviv. He left a wife and a daughter.
