Krieger, Zvi
Zvi, son of Esther (Berta) and Avraham Krieger, was born in 1915 in Nuremberg, Germany. In 1934 he immigrated to Israel as a pioneer. During the Second World War, he enlisted in the British infantry corps (“Baps”) in the British army and served in Israel and North Africa. During the War of Independence, on the day of the attack on Ramot Naftali, on 22 Nisan, 1.5.1948, he fired unceasingly until a cluster of enemy bullets hit him and he fell. He was laid to rest in the Ramot Naftali cemetery. He left behind a wife and a baby daughter.
