Kreitzer, Israel


Son of Yitzhak and Bracha. He was born on July 11, 1949 in Tel Aviv. He was educated at an elementary school in Daughter of-Yam and later attended the “Amal” school in Tel Aviv. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement and had a tendency to sport. In July 1966, he was drafted into the IDF, and when he reached the age of 17 he decided that service to the people and the state was his duty and then he turned to the parents to give their consent to his enlistment before the age of the army. At first the parents hesitated but his great love for the homeland gave him no peace and he threatened that he would not even agree to “run away” from the house and go out to do his duty. After that, the parents agreed and Israel set out to serve in the Nahal unit in his nucleus along with his comrades, and his battalion was known as the Golan Heights, and was also known as the ” On the 30th day of Nissan (30.3.1969), Israel died in his illness and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
