Afterward he served for half a year in the Suez Canal. After completing his officers’ training course, he served as an armored officer, serving as an infantry officer, serving as a lieutenant in the period of his service, and in the period following his discharge from the army to the beginning of his studies at the Hebrew Technion in Haifa.
