Son of Margalit and Franz was born on March 4, 1930, in the village of Torroxant-Miklos, Hungary. Yaakov joined a company that had organized to immigrate to Israel and immigrated with his sister in 1945. He became a shepherd, and as a native of the village he succeeded in his work He was older than most of his friends in a year or two, and this slowed down his pace of integration into society: Yaakov was attracted to Palmach members who were then in Na’an and wanted to join them. He was placed in the Palmach Harel Brigade, but at his request, he was among the conscripts of Na’an because he did not want to sever his ties with the kibbutz and during his stay in Na’an he was informed that his mother had survived and returned to Hungary to her daughter. , On the 10th of Tammuz 5708 (17.7.1948). On the 11th of Adar (28.2.1950) he was laid to rest at the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
