Kotik, Michael

Son of Nechama and Shimon, was born on September 8, 1929 in Safed. According to family tradition, the family is descended from the House of King David. On April 22-23, 1948, the Harel Brigade was moved to Jerusalem and attacked Shuafat, Beit Iksa and Nabi Samuel. The force for Nebi Samuel took a long time and the assault began at dawn. On that eve of Pesach, April 14, 1948, he was killed and was brought to eternal rest in a grave in the Kiryat Anavim military cemetery.
