Kortman-Goldberg, Stefania
Daughter of Sabina and Joseph. She was born in 1926 in Warsaw, Poland, immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1940 and was educated in Ben-Shemen. During the Second World War she enlisted in the British army and was assigned to the IAF’s auxiliary corps. Was killed in an airplane accident on 27 Tishrei (4.10.1945). She left a husband in England. There is a monument at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem memorializing the British soldiers whose burial places are unknown.
