Kornberg, Ariel

Son of Moshe and Tzipora. He was born on July 22, 1941 in Moshav Beit Oved. Studied at the Max Payne Professional School. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. He loved sports and was a member of Hapoel. He was drafted into the IDF in May 1959. He fell during his duty on the 1st of Tishrei 5721 (22.9.1960) and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Nes Tziona. In his name, there is a basketball team at “Hapoel” in Nes Ziona, and each year there are competition games for the “Ariel Cup” between the Hapoel teams in Israel.
