Kopit, Yitzhak
Yitzhak, son of Dora and Mordechai, was born on 24.11.1948 in Poland and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1957. Yitzhak was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in November 1966. After completing basic training, he completed a tank course in the “Centurion” and was a liaison and gunner, and during the Six-Day War he participated in the conquest of the Golan Heights. In an encounter with the enemy near Hosheniya on October 7, 1973, his tank was hit and he was killed, He left behind his parents and a sister, and after his fall was raised to the rank of sergeant.
