Koltov, Abraham (Abrahamle)


Son of Ida and Pesach, was born on January 21, 1924 in Zichron Yaakov and was the youngest of his brothers and sisters. He completed a school for the children of workers in Kfar Malal and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved movement in Ramatayim, where he was a devoted son and helped his elderly parents in the store they had, and spent one year in a training course in Ashdot Ya’akov. He joined the brigade in which he fought and worked for the entire period of its existence until its dissolution, and reached Europe in order to save the remnants of the camps and bring them to Israel, and when he returned from the brigade he joined the Haganah immediately, Habla was important and soon became an officer and specialized in sabotaging the state He was given the right place in the Alexandroni Brigade, quiet and moderate, responsible and cautious, and his spirit was fearless. When the saboteurs went to action in the village of Tira, near Ramat Hakovesh, he felt the enemy’s cunning trick, and an argument broke out between him and the second commander of that action, and Abraham demanded that he withdraw. On December 5, 1948, when he left with his company for mortar operations, he fell near Ramat Hakovesh and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya.
