Koenig, Gad

Gad, son of Chaim and Hinda Koenig, was born in 1924 in the city of Rydemno, Poland. When the Nazis invaded his city in 1939, he was deported with his family, and suffered a lot in the following years. He finally came to Israel in 1948 and was drafted into the IDF. Gad fell in the course of his duty on the 8th of Elul (26.8.1955) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa. He left behind his wife and child.
