Kocher, David


Son of Shachna and Sarah. He was born in 1935 in the city of Ochnia, Poland, where he studied in an elementary school named after HN Bialik and was awarded a medal for excellence. He immigrated to Israel in 1949. He belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement. He was drafted into the IDF in September 1953. He fell in the line of duty on February 22, 1955, and was brought to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Haifa. His brother YY Kotcher dedicated his story “The Price of Life” to his memory.
