Koblinsky, Yaakov
Son of Fishel. He was born in 1911 in the city of Knyszyn in Poland and immigrated to Palestine in 1932. In the country Yaakov married and the family lived in Ramat Gan. As a loyal member of the Haganah, Yaakov responded to the call of the institutions and joined the Guard Corps. He served in various places and was finally stationed at the Tel Litvinsky station (now Tel Hashomer). On his watch, a bullet was fired from his rifle. Yaakov was seriously injured and died of his wounds the following day, on 2 Elul (September 5, 1940), and was buried in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery. He was survived by his wife.
