Was born on 24.7.1974 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to Alexandra (Sasha), when Yuri was a year old with intestinal disease and suffered from it until he was ten years old, and his illness weakened him until his mother debated whether he could But Yuri proved his physical ability and strong will, finishing eight years of elementary school in Kazakhstan and continuing to study for a year in high school research, and when he was a child, Yuri loved animals and wanted to grow He was a very sensitive child, who showed great interest in various fields, and from an early age he loved to play chess and He liked to watch the stars with a telescope he had brought with him from his hometown and could identify different groups of stars Was a lover of nature and loved to go on trips with his family and friends, and on a trip he and his mother and his girlfriend climbed a very steep mountain, and despite his weakness he did not give up to the top of the mountain. Yuri used to go with his mother to concerts and learned to love classical music. He was fascinated by the melody of the violin and especially liked to hear works by Mozart and Brahms. In 1990 Yuri immigrated to Israel with his mother. His father and sister Alexandra remained in Kazakhstan. Yuri and his mother lived in Safed and continued his studies at the “Canaan” high school. The difficulties in language made it difficult for him to integrate into his studies, so after a year of studying in Safed, Yuri returned to Kazakhstan, where he completed his studies as an external student and received a matriculation certificate. When he returned to Israel, Yuri and his mother moved to Rishon Letzion, and Yuri always tried to help his mother, and in 1994 he joined the IDF and was assigned to the air force as a security guard. Yuri was a quiet, introverted and highly motivated soldier. On the 30th of Tishrei 5755 (September 30, 1994) Yuri fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion. He was twenty years old when he fell. Survived by his parents and sister.
