Klinger Nathan (Nota)
Son of Tzvia and Mordechai-Yehuda. Born in Nuremberg, Germany on June 23, 1904, he was the youngest son of a family of nine boys and girls and moved to Berlin after graduating from elementary and high school, where he worked in commerce. He married, had a son and in 1935 joined the Zionist Organization. In 1938 he immigrated to Palestine with his family, settling in Haifa, worked for a living selling butter and dairy products. He joined the ranks of the Haganah and on Shabbat, 26 Nisan, April 15, 1939, in the midst of the bloody events in Israel, he was shot from an ambush on his way to the synagogue with his son Michael and his friend Karl Mortge. Karl was killed on the spot and Nathan was injured and died of his wounds on the way to Hadassah Hospital. He was buried at the Hof Hacarmel cemetery in Haifa, leaving a wife and son.
