Kleinman, Emanuel
Son of Pinchas and Sarah. Born on 15 November 1936 in Tel Aviv, he completed his studies at the “Balfour” elementary school, and was a member of the Mahanot Ha’olim movement, and at the age of 13 he began pressing the hour to leave the city. At that time he joined a youth company in Yagur, but when his group (from the “immigrant camps”) joined the children’s company in Beit Hashita, he was also in it. He joined the “Oren” group, was in the advanced group and studied with great diligence until they finished high school in Beit Hashita. He particularly loved the art of dancing and devoted himself to it during his spare time. When he enlisted in the army, Emanuel was one of four who was to train in the movement. He was drafted into the IDF as part of the Nahal Brigade in January 1955. He underwent a platoon commander’s course and continued his training, and at the outbreak of the Sinai Campaign he went on a battle with his apprentices and on the 26th of Mershvan 5711 (November 31, 1956) – The Military Cemetery for Emergency Situations and on Friday, March 31, 1957, was transferred to the cemetery in Beit Hashita. On the first anniversary of his death Beit Hashita published a booklet in his memory bearing his name.
