Klein, Zvi (Peter)
Son of Eleonora and Jacob, was born on December 16, 1929 in Bukovina, Romania. At the beginning of the Russo-German War, he and his parents were taken to a labor camp in Transnistria. With the retreat of the Germans after their defeat in the battles, he returned to Romania. In 1944, he immigrated to Eretz Israel as part of the Youth Aliya in a convoy of orphans from Transnistria, which came under the consent of British rule. After two years of training at the Mikvah Israel youth company he moved to Netanya and worked in the diamond industry. His parents succeeded in immigrating to Israel after him. At the beginning of the War of Independence, he volunteered for the Irgun, underwent combat training, and fulfilled his duty with dedication in combat and combat roles. He died in a road accident near the Yarkon Bridge on the 15th of Sivan 5708 (June 15, 1948.) He was laid to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
