Klein, Amir

Son of Moshe and Ora. He was born on May 4, 1953 in Haifa. Amir began studying at the Reali School in Haifa. When he was nine, his parents went on a state mission to Nigeria, and Amir continued his studies in Lagos, first in the Israeli school that opened there, and later in an American school there. When he was 14, he returned to Israel alone and continued his studies at the military boarding school near the Reali School and completed the biological track. Amir liked to draw and left many wonderful paintings in his estate. Amir was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1972 and volunteered for the Israel Air Force, where he completed a course and was a regular navigator. “Amir was recognized in the squadron as a young and talented officer, and the squadron pinned great hopes on him in his role as a professional navigator, And in an additional position that I can not detail in detail and because of his qualifications as an officer. Amir liked the flight. He had a sense of security and showed a strong desire to invest and contribute to matters that belonged to them or was entrusted to them … Amir was a good nut despite his age and relatively little experience. Our sense – of all of us – that could be relied upon in any mission imposed on him both in the air and on the ground. “
