Klatzko, Hanoch
Hanoch, son of Chana and Mordechai Katzko, was born on March 16, 1929 in Tel Aviv, where he completed his studies at the “Alliance” elementary school in 1944 and continued to study at a technical school of Hanoar Haoved. He was active in the struggle against the British, served in the “Magshimim Palmach” Brigade, trained in the “Hagobrim” (Yagur) and in one of the Palmach battalions “Yiftach.” In the War of Independence Hanoch participated in many operations, including the conquest of Malkia and the conquest of Zerifin. Because of his courage, his comrades called him “The Boy of the Battles.” Hanoch fell while riding in a jeep from the Palmach headquarters on the 25th of Iyar, June 3, 1948, while defending the Lewis machine gun that was mounted on the vehicle against air attack. He was buried in Rishon Letzion. On the 7th of Tammuz 5710 (22.6.1950) he was laid to rest at the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
