Klaf, Shalom (Salem)


Son of Yosef and Sa’ida. He was born in 1933 in the city of Mesila in Yemen, where he immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1933. He was a member of the Youth Aliyah and belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement and studied at the Nachlat Yehuda farm near Rishon Letzion In addition to his interest in world history and in the press, he loved nature and the beauty of the landscape in all his surroundings, and he found his own diamond in 1973. In August 1953, he joined the Nahal Brigade as part of a group of “settlers” “Which completed the David Guard Group. From time to time he was called up for reserve duty and even during the Six-Day War he was in this framework and on the second day of his battles, he was killed on the 6th of Iyar 5727 (6.6.1967). He fell in a battle that took place in Sha’fat, He left a wife and three small children and was brought to rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
