Kishinovsky, Moshe
Son of Rachel and David. He was born in 1914 in the town of Katelbina, Romania, and immigrated to Eretz Israel with his family in 1925. The family lived in the Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem. As a member of a religious family, Moshe began studying in a “cheder” in the neighborhood and as a teenager he studied carpentry and began working as a carpenter and helping the family’s livelihood. Moshe belonged to the Hanoar Haoved movement and joined the ranks of the Haganah. At the outbreak of the bloody riots of 1936-1939, Moshe enlisted in the Guard Corps and served with dedication in various places in the country. The last place of his service was in Sodom and on 9 Tishrei, October 4, 1938 he was killed in an explosion while guarding and was brought to eternal rest on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. He left two parents, two brothers and three sisters.
