Kipnis Ben-Zion (Kipi)


Son of Tova and Haim, was born on December 31, 1922 in Tel Aviv. He wandered with his parents from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, to Kfar Sava and back to Jerusalem, and everywhere he re-became absorbed in the school and the children and youth society and was one of the best students until he graduated from the Gymnasium in Jerusalem. For some time he worked as an agricultural laborer in Kfar Sava and as a laborer in Jerusalem. He was an active athlete, a member of Hapoel and the sailing association in Haifa. When his brother was murdered in the 1938 riots, the boy joined the Haganah at the age of 15, and since then he hid under his guise of youthful eloquence his resolute decision to prevent such a recurrence and avenge the blood of his brethren.
