Khayat, light


Ben Leah (Leica) and Yoram. He was born on December 4, 1983 in Hadasim Youth Village. Or came into the world on the fifth candle of Chanukah, hence his name. Until age five he grew up in Hadasim, where his parents worked as social counselors. He went to the local kindergarten and went on to pre-kindergarten in the village of Netter. At five he moved to Herzliya with his family. He attended the Savyon kindergarten and went to first grade at the Brenner elementary school. When he was six, his sister Tal was born. Or attended the “Shmuel Hanagid” junior high school in a sports class and played in a handball team. When he reached the age of sixteen, he moved with his family to Moshav Bnei Dror in the Sharon region where he attended the Dror High School. Or was a quiet boy, modest, kind and loved by everyone. He loved sports very much, was interested in music and invested his time in computers. At the beginning of August 2002, Orr enlisted in the IDF, and was appointed to the Armored Corps and served in the 195th Regiment of the 500th Brigade. Orr fell in the course of his duties on January 12, 2003, at the age of nineteen. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in Tel Mond. Survived by parents and sister.
