Kharranbeh, Ashraf
Ben Nofeh and Mohammed. Was born on 30 December 1976 in the Ras al-Khabiya neighborhood of the village of Majar. Ashraf was born into a large and noble Bedouin family, many of whom served and served in the security forces. He grew up and was educated in his village, was a kind and pleasant boy, and accepted by his many friends. In 1999, Ashraf volunteered for the Border Police. He was very prominent during his service and was highly regarded. He remained for four months until the end of compulsory service, after which he was about to be admitted to the career army. First Sergeant Ashraf Kharanbeh fell on 7.1.2002, a stormy and rainy day, in a horrific car accident that occurred during operational activity. The jeep he was driving in collided head-on with a cement mixer near Kibbutz Bahan in Emek Hefer. Ashraf was killed on the spot. His two friends, a border police officer and a border policeman, were moderately to severely injured. The news of Ashraf’s death shocked the members of the Bedouin community in the village of Majar and nearby settlements. Ashraf, twenty-six years old, was laid to rest in the Bedouin cemetery of Majar-Marar. Raya-Manal, who was six months pregnant, left a nine-month-old baby, a mother, three sisters – Aida, Friel and Nurhan, and four brothers – Maher, Aidel, Ahed and A’id.
