He loved his service in the Israel Defense Forces very well S and never complained about the difficulties. He was always loved by his commanders and his soldiers, and he always offered a helping hand to his friends and contributed a great deal of his personal experience and professionalism to the success of the unit’s operations. His parents tried to persuade him to wait another day until he could travel safely, but he refused, saying that if he did not arrive on time, other friends would not be able to go on vacation. On January 9, 2002, a terrorist cell of Hamas attacked the “Africa” ​​outpost near Kibbutz Kerem Shalom. In the clash, Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Hameida was killed, and was killed in the battle of the commander of the village of Kfar Reihani. Survived by his parents and four brothers and sisters, a tree was planted in his memory in the Jerusalem hills by the Hod ve-Hadar community – the Masorti Movement.
