Jacob-Nachman, son of Leah and Abraham, was born on the 16th of Adar 5709 (16.3.1949) in Tel Aviv. Yaakov was drafted into the IDF at the end of September 1967 and volunteered to serve in the paratroop brigade. At first, he served as part of the Gilboa nucleus in Ein Hanatziv, and after leaving the nucleus he was assigned to the medical corps and was trained in a combat paramedics course, and became a battalion medic. When he was discharged from the army, he began studying law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he worked at the Justice Ministry, and soon became very fond of all the workers there because of his modesty and his great deal of bad relations. , And could be trusted at any time He survived the war and worked there until the outbreak of the war, always fighting for his opinion and not deviating from the firm principles he established in social and moral matters and adhering to them, he was naturally human-loving, tolerant and patient, and he was always willing to help anyone with advice (October 19, 1973), his unit fought near the “Butzer” outpost, opposite the Alliance west of the Canal. Ya’akov extended medical aid to the wounded, under heavy enemy fire, and then was wounded and later died of his wounds. He was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery on Mount Herzl. He left behind a wife and son, mother, brother and sister. After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant.
