Kenneth, David (Didi)


David, son of Ruth and Yair, was born on April 3, 1950 in Haifa. David was drafted into the IDF at the end of July 1968 And was assigned to the Armored Corps. After basic training, he completed a tank training course and a course for tank commanders and spent the entire period of his service in the Suez Canal area. He was a thinking man with original ideas, and he argued passionately about his opinions in conversations with his friends and commanders. As a commander, he demanded much from his soldiers and himself , David was a graduate of the Law Faculty of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he studied university life and student life, studied diligently and seriously, and again had close ties with many friends. In Jerusalem and in the fifth year In the Yom Kippur War, David fought with a tank unit in the battle for containment against the Egyptians in the Gaza Strip. Was killed in his tank during a battle that took place north of the Great Bitter Lake on October 8, 1973. He was brought to rest in the Haifa cemetery, leaving behind his parents and two sisters. Promoted to First Sergeant.
