Kedmi, David (‘Dudi’)
Son of Menashe and Elpa. He was born on February 23, 1959 in Jerusalem, to a family with many children. David studied at the Uziel Elementary School for example and continued his studies at the Ma’ale High School. He served in the Gadna and worked as a plumber in the Herut factory, and David was a social man and managed to establish good relations with many people, and his smile and good spirit surrounded him with a good and comfortable atmosphere. He had a warm and understanding relationship, especially for young children, and he liked to invite his friends to his home and was known for his hospitality. Beitar Jerusalem group. David was drafted into the IDF in early February 1977 and was assigned to a regional brigade. David died on 10 January 1979. During his service he was 20 years old and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem and left behind his parents, brothers and sisters, and in a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, “It is noteworthy that David’s volunteer work, his ability to lead, and his contribution to social cohesion were fundamental traits that were evident in all his actions and behavior.” His family donated a Torah scroll to the Ramot synagogue to commemorate his memory.
