Ben Ayala and Yehuda. He was born on December 15, 1963 in Ramat Gan. The eldest son of his parents, the brother of Ronit and Shlomi. He is a beautiful redhead with a charming smile, clever, sympathetic, always smiling and happy. Already in his childhood, he stood out as a “character-gingy”, lively and playful and an expert on pranks. Ophir attended the “Moreshet Moshe” religious elementary school and the Blich high school in Ramat Gan. A good student without any effort to invest in studies, active and prominent in any social and sporting activity in the school and wherever it is located. Everyone in high school knew the sympathetic but very critical redhead. A very beloved, honest and honest man with leadership qualities, who was always engaged in various activities – basketball, football, tennis and water skiing. When he grew up, Ophir discovered academia and enjoyed a great deal of learning, especially about the Middle East, which enriched him and helped him fill his role in the Intelligence Corps. At the same time, he continued to cultivate his hobbies, including racing boats and cars. He had warm and open contacts with all his extended family. He listened to his younger brothers, gave advice and said a good, warm word. An unparalleled brother, a friend in heart and soul. “I do not know if there is another mother in the whole world who has won a son like Ophir, a true friend, my best friend, a warm, devoted, loving and caring son … we were like one soul in two bodies,” his mother says. “And to me he was also a friend, and the mainstay of the family,” adds his father. Even at an early age, Ophir decided that he would serve in the Paratroopers Brigade, and from the moment he decided to himself, there was nothing to stop him from achieving this aspiration. When he enlisted in the IDF in August 1982, he volunteered for the Paratroopers Brigade, and after completing his training he was accepted to the “Orev” reconnaissance unit, where he completed many basic training courses, including a paratroopers course and an officer training course. In the Armored Corps, Ophir chose to combine his intelligence role with an anti-tank combat unit, and was an outstanding and honest officer who was determined to achieve all his goals without compromise. With Israel at Bar-Ilan University, and continued his studies in international relations Master’s degree. In 1991 he married his girlfriend Ophir light. His wife says he was “a great friend, confident and ‘a little’ impatient fools, but emotional and well and ready to help at any time. He lives in a race against the clock, with the desire to do everything possible and even more. In his spare spare time, he traveled every Saturday with the dog to train, walk and read more. He was an interesting and fascinating partner, and the six years I lived with were happy. “In 1993, Central Command Chief Nechemia Tamari chose him to serve as his bureau chief, and from then on they worked” round the clock. “Ophir admired his commander” to work with Nehemiah Is to run a quarter of an army. “Ophir’s friends, according to Ophir’s friends, have lived up to the” red temper. “Ofir has advanced to the rank of Major, and in almost all of his positions served in positions that were two levels above his real rank. In his opinion on the officers, his commanders wrote: “Integrates into a headquarters and stands out as a professional and mature officer … He is highly motivated, promotes issues, distinguishes between main and tafel, acts in accordance with the guidelines and independently.” His close friends noted that his service in the Intelligence Corps was a shock to his trustworthy character, the fast-paced promotion path that suited his determination, and the peace that was approaching his optimism. On 12.1.1994, Ophir accompanied GOC Central Command to a tour of the Beit She’an area, following the infiltration of terrorists. As they made their way back to base, F.The helicopter touched the antenna page at the Kfir Fortress in Jerusalem and crashed. In the disaster, Ofir was killed along with Major General Nehemia Tamari and the pilots, Captain Ofer Yoeli and Captain Assaf Asher. Ofir was laid to rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery. He was thirty years old when he fell. Survived by a wife at the beginning of her pregnancy, parents, brother and sister. His son, Ophaz, was born eight months after his fall. His former commander in the Intelligence Corps, eulogized Ophir: “… Major General Nehemia Tamari chose you from a large group of officers, to be his assistant and head of office in a complex and complex period … We had a pity that for a while we would leave Intelligence, but we supported your understanding of your personality and suitability for the position We will miss you in your turbulent personality and we will miss you in your professional abilities. ” In his letter of consolation to the family, the commander of the unit wrote: “Ophir was outstanding in his unique personality, which radiated enthusiasm, openness and understanding for every mission … Throughout his entire career in the field and in the field, Ophir demonstrated his determination and determination … Ofir was evaluated among us as an outstanding officer, Who will still have important and interesting roles in the future … “The family members commemorated his name by donating a Torah library to the synagogue in the Moreshet Moshe school, where he was educated.
