Kaufman, Daniella-Rachel
Daughter of Miriam and Leon, both Holocaust survivors. Daniella was born on 27.5.1964 in Netanya. Daniella studied at the Alumot Elementary School and completed her studies at the Sharett High School, both in Netanya. She was handsome, an athlete, loved to play guitar and sing. Daniella was drafted into the IDF in mid-September 1982 because she was a member of a bereaved family (her brother Avi – a parachutist – fell in battle in the War of Attrition in 1970) On 17.1.1984, Corporal Daniella fell during her service and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Netanya. She left behind her parents and a sister. In her letter of condolence to the bereaved family, her commanding officer spoke of her personal qualities, noting that Daniela “did not tend to stand out, showed her kindness, intelligence and ability to fulfill the responsibilities required of her.” She received sensitivity, integrity,
