Kaufman, Avraham (“Tibi”)

Son of Herman and Rebecca. He was born on the 5th of Tevet 5709 (6.1.1949) in the village of Lembowce in Czechoslovakia, and was four months old when his parents brought him to Israel, and over time the weak child overcame his frailty and recovered from the diseases that afflicted him at his cost. And he loved to help his father in planting new trees in the garden of the house, but he did not finish his studies there because his enlistment date was approaching, and the parents were not Simcha that he wanted him to enter the army only after his older brother was released. He insisted that all his comrades had been recruited and that he had stayed behind, so he decided to advance his recruitment date in November 1966. After completing basic training, he was transferred to a base in Safed Despite the fact that the distance between him and the house was difficult, he did not hear any complaint from his base, but was not transferred to the officer’s course. He was also in compulsory military service. The Six-Day War broke out, and on the third day of its battles, on the 28th of Iyar, May 7, 1967, Avraham fell in a battle in Nablus. While cleansing the city, Abraham showed his willingness to sacrifice himself personally. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya. A booklet bearing his name appeared in his memory.
