Katz, Zrubavel (Zrubka)
Son of Tova and Noah was born on January 2, 1929 in Rosh Pina, until the age of 11. Zerubavel joined the Hanoar Haoved movement and after that he joined the Palmach and served for three years in Ayelet Hashahar and in the Naftali Mountains, where he participated in many activities of the Hagana during the struggle against the British and the immigration of illegal immigrants to Palestine. At the beginning of the War of Independence he found him in the ranks of the Palmach and continued his service in the Upper Galilee, in defense and in battles, accompanied by caravans, and he sometimes took a short vacation to his mother in Netanya, Zerubavel fell in battle on Mishmar HaYarden on May 16, 1948 when a Syrian bullet hit his forehead and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Rosh Pina.
