Katz, David (Chaim)
David, son of Rivka and Yosef, was born on April 9, 1951, in Ramat Gan. David was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in late October 1969. At the end of October 1972, Dudu was released from compulsory service and set out for civilian life, where he decided to study at the university, work and live. In the Yom Kippur War, Dudu participated in the battles against the Syrians on the Golan Heights, served as a noncommissioned mortar officer in an artillery unit and on the 18th of Tishrei 5734 (14 October 1973), was hit by shelling and fell. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, leaving behind a father, mother and brother. After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant.
